Forgiveness

What is a definition
for forgiveness?

A definition for forgiveness could be
-- giving up my right to hurt you, for hurting me.

It is impossible to live on this fallen planet without getting hurt,
offended,
misunderstood,
lied to,
and rejected. Learning how to respond properly is one of the basics of the Christian life.

A lot of people do not understand how I can forgive like I have done. I do not understand it either. Perhaps it is seeing the end of something I have worked so hard for. Perhaps seeing my world crumble. For whatever the reason, I forgive you.

forgiveness is a strong thing to do. And to do it like you have is amazing. I wish I was as strong as you.

Forgiving, is giving up my right to hurt you?
Forget that. Look if you cross me, I am gonna get cross with you.
I have forgiven, but in my experience, it only comes back on me.

That is not all ways true. I have forgiven people and it has not come back on me. But I expect that answer from you Tanner, I think you enjoy hurting others. When you enjoy hurting others then it sounds like to me that you have no love in your heart.

FORGIVENESS HAS THE IDEA OF RELEASING SOMEONE FROM THE PAIN THEY CAUSED YA---
I HAVE FORGIVEN, AND HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN. I WISH IT WAS EASIER TO GIVE. SOMETIMES, I MAKE IT TOO HARD TO FORGIVE ME---
LOOKS TO ME AS IF THIS JOHN FELLOW DID SOMETHING AMAZING--- HE PROBABLY DID, BUT I BET IF YOU ASKED HIM WHY, SOMEWHERE HE WOULD POINT BEING FORGIVEN HIMSELF.
I DON'T KNOW HIM, BUT I WISH I DID---
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE GUYS AND GALS WHO CAN BE WRONGED, BUT NOT GET HUNG UP IN THE MESSINESS

I am afraid of the word forgiveness.
It brings back too much pain. Besides, I am not really good at giving this. Maybe because as a little girl, my daddy never did. I will never forgive him
