the church was small from the outside, but the sanctuary was totally bigger. the stage was perfect and seeing bible verses underneath the lyrics on the screen as we sang, well that was just icing on the cake.

What a truly amazing experience, never been to a church where they have to turn people away. I had a blast hanging with the guys and going to a different church. The only down thing for the day was having to answer questions from my home church why I was not there. I felt like they were mad due to the fact that I choose to go somewhere else and not be where I go to church.
I have decided to not tell them where I went anymore. I think it is wrong to make someone feel guility for not being there.

so sorry, for your situation, boromir. very difficult and frustrating. careful about allowing current emotions to determine future decisions, bruther.

thats too bad. answering questions sounds like an inquistion. but they probably had your best interest in mind

I am sure they do have my best interest in mind. But sometimes I wonder if it is my best or their best interest. The reason I say this is because the church I go to has lost many members and I am not planning on leaving and I have told them that. I just think that they do not trust me on not to leave. I was talking to my mom and I told her the problem. I like hearing other messages from other preachers, it keeps me going on my walk. I believe that when you hear just one point of view you are NOT doing what you need to do to further your walk with CHRIST.

SO now since it has been about a week, I still will not tell them when I decide to go to another church. Like my mom told me that sometimes you need to get outside the box and see different things. You can get complacent with your church and hearing the same person speaking week after week. If you do not get another point how do we learn and grow???

Well since I got that off my chest, I had a great time and I would do it again in a moment notice. Getting time to spend with the guys is what I need at times. Living in a house full of women sometimes I need to be around guys. I look forward to our next trip and time together...boromir
