one thing a man can do is listen. dont rgue that you right or wrong just listen.9 out of 10 times your arguements will result in another problem that has occurred before. or that is still unresloved. just listen.
i did an informal survey last week concerning this topic:
about 45% said LISTEN about 40% said involve GOD more into relationship one said NEVER STOP WINNING HER HEART others said take wife's advice another said at least HEAR Advice a few said show her respect and be kind/ nice one said to help around the house with dishes/laundry
so ..... how about you? what is your answer to this survey.
by the way, i think that if i #1 focus and #2 fix what my bride complains about the most - i believe i would definitely reduce the friction in our marriage.
maybe if a guy would just stop. sit down. put down anything he's reading. look her straight in the eyes without any preconcieved notion. try to feel what she's trying to say. maybe, just maybe, she'd start to feel he was really beginning to want to enter her world ... again.
to last entry. Frodo here, sounds to me as if you are talking from her point of view or that you are her. thats great it always helps to get the other sides perspective. guys and gals just don't think on the same track most of the time. guys are visual and physical. women are emotional and sensual. to me it is the lifetime commitment to figure each one out that makes a marriage work. problem is most guys figure they alreay have done that and don't know how to get deep on a emotional level. they become vulnerable and it scares them to be weak. it is not cmfortable or easy for them to be this way. maybe if each one would take the time to see these flaws then marriage would be what God had intended it to be
somewhere i chose to lead by what i thought was best. i don't believe this was my original goal. however, it is what she says it is.
NOW I MUST CHOOSE: to fight or flight. to own up to my selfishness, or to run away from this battle that WONT DESTROY MY MARRIAGE, but this battle which WILL EAT AWAY at what GOD wants us to share in.
#1 for me is to LISTEN. Help around the house. Give all the attention that she needs... ooh but wait u only said 1 thing and i listed 3 I guess I have alot of work to do!!!!!LOL
gimli, thanksgiving for joining the blog. i am in total agreement with your answers. in fact, i think you highlight an excellent outline of what you can do to turn up the love in your casa

I believe that being consistent with your bride, what I mean is being the man you are suppose to be everyday without taking a day off.

you know my bride referred to me as a dictator tonight. she told me that i ruled with an iron fist, with a iron hand.
fellas, this broke me. i guess somewhere i left her behind when it comes to ONENESS.
somewhere i chose to lead by what i thought was best. i don't believe this was my original goal.

sorry for taking so many comments.
i just needed to express in written form what plagues me so deep within my oft wicked heart.
i'm desparate for THE ONE. i'm desparate for JESUS.
men, our bride is worth fighting for, she is worth bleeding for. and most important, SHE IS WORTH LIVING FOR.
