I don't think that it is wrong, but I personally believe that if both partners are not both into it then as a loving partner you should wait. They call it making love and not painting the ceilling. I think that is selfish. Now that might not be right, but I CAN WAIT for her to be in the mood because I love her. I do acknowledge that the dry times are hard, but I can make it through it.
boromir, 'making love' is an interesting term. i wonder, out of 100 sexual experiences, how many classify as 'making love'?
for us, i'd say less about half. many are just plain good ole sex. (for those reading this, i am referring to sex with my bride only)and others are meeting my needs. of course, i try to meet her needs throughout the day too. sometimes, i don't.
No it is not wrong! Half the time it is usually the woman that is never in the mood in the first place. It my case as soon as I got married, the physical part disappeared and was never found no matter how hard I tried! The most common saying by a women would be, "I have a headache and I'm not in the mood!" Not trying to bash women just stating the facts. Here is how you solve that problem. Before your mate ever has the chance to say anything like that, just come to bed with some 2 asprin and a glass of water and hand it to her! She should say, "I dont have a headache!" Your reply should be, "Good, want to have sex!"
If you woman loves you then she would be in the mood always for you. Or just get creative and get her in the mood by doing something in the bedroom that will make her laugh until she looks at you and says, "Take me I am yours!!!"
bruther, jb, i like the part about the aspirin and water. thats pretty funny. seems people who aren't married are having sex more frequently. however, reports indicate those having un=marital sex find the sex less fulfilling. anyways, i think marriage is a work in progress, and sometimes construction gets in the way. still ... we should have an alternative route to continue the day to day. i'm for painting the cieling. i'm also for trying to meet her needs too. goes both ways.

i think its great that you are only 17. i also like your approach to the incredible adventure we call marriage.
totally agree with the force comment. forcing a spouse is only going to create more havoc and bitterness.
