Fingerprints

Where has GOD left fingerprints on your life? Also how is he still touching your life? (not just your personal life, but your church life as well.) So what is next in your personal and spiritual life? Be prepared to be called out on it!!!!

fingerprints are all over my walk with Christ. in my work and in my family. I have eyewitness accounts on growth in my walk. once i jumped off the fence it took me a few months to realize my shirt was caught. i am now learning how to release my self from that fence. stay keep track of my progress on this blog.

let tribalinc know how fingerprints led you to where you are today in you walk.

Please, Frodo, explain what evidence there is about these fingerprints in your walk with Christ. I see to much generality going on in all of these tribalinc blogs. I want inspiration from fellow christians, not greeting card sentiments or poetic lingo. I hope you do not take offense, but understand where I am coming from.

dear anonymous,
i like your desire for inspiration. may i offer you such an example.
i decided in advance to make my kiddos a priority in my life. to do this, i had to make the decision PRIOR to any action i might take.
yesterday, i took my daughter on a ONE ON ONE trip to a coin show. not a really big deal, right? however, when i asked her about it, i came away knowing WE'D MADE A MEMORY. i.e. a fingerprint in her mind.
a fingerprint that GOD is molding me to be not just dad, but involved in the development of my kiddos.in two weeks, i'll take my middle child out for a ONE ON ONE.

to clarify my answer, i decided to quit walking ing the world a few months ago. i have benn a christian since i was 10. as with most p0eople that are saved at a young age i made no major changes in my lifestyle up to about five years ago when i reditacated my life to Christ. after that my walk became stronger but i still lacked credibility. what that means is i say i was a christian but really did not act like one. July 16 of 2006 God took away my addication to cigarettes. i had previuosly smoke for 20 years. fingerprint #1. after 6 years of marriage I learn to look through the eyes of Christ at my wife. therefore i strenghthened my marriage that was on the rocks. sam can verify these. fingerprint#2. after promisekeepers last summer God promted me to expand on what we have been doing in a small mens group. therefore tribalinc. was birthed. out ouf this prompting a mens ministry was born at our church. as a diciple my walk involves imitating Christ other than at home and church therefore i have to be on guard at work where they all know i am a beliver and i am more subject to chritism there. in the last few months God has taught me humility, adversity, humblness, and discipline. he has shown light on things that never before i have taken into consideration that me stumbling blocks keeping me from growing into the man he wants me to be. i hope this clarifies my previous answer.

God left fingerprints on my life when he stopped me from killing myself by not pulling out in front of that train and he told me to be honest with my know ex-wife about everything that I had done. He is in my life everyday. I do my best to read at least a page or two a day out of my bible!

Church life has been cut short lately. I have found some things out about certain pastors that make me not want to go to church. I can not stand people that can not practice what they preach. A lot of the churches that I have been to, the people are just so fake. In church they are so happy to see you but man you see them outside of church they do not even want to be in the same area as you! I want my life to be lived for GOD but it is just hard when everyone else around you are just so fake!!! Because one thing that I have learned to live by is that, "Don't judge me for the things that I do when all you do is the exact same thing! Learn to live with the wrongs in your life because I have dealt with mine!!!"

dear j.b.
all of us are hypocrites from time to time. but you dont go to church for the people you go to grow and worship. dont give in to society and say that all churchs are the same. they all have there faults. from the biggest to the smallest. pray for guidence and ask for God to lead you to the right place. i grew up in a large church. i hated that the people i worshiped with each sunday and acted friendly did not even know who i was monday morning. but God had so many things to teach me there. dont fall for antichrist philosphy. God has a plan for you. Jer.29:11. stay on course. maybe he even has plans to use you in a specific church. you cant walk the christian life without a battle buddy. you need support and fellowship. i will pray that god puts you in the right place. frodo

Dear JB
I understand how you feel and have had at times the same feelings for other churches that I have attended. Take my advise, find a church that is simple. What I mean is that you feel you can learn and grow from just the message that is being presented. If GOD wants you to be there HE will make sure that every need you have will be fullfilled.
When I first started going to the church I go to now, I was just starting to get back I went for the message. But GOD had a plan for me and now I have a GREAT bunch of friends, and a church that I can call my family. It is funny how GOD works, I was not even going to church for several years, and then out of the blue my oldest girl ask me to go to church with her, so I did. Since then I have a set of friends that are closer to me than my parents are. A set of friends that I KNOW will help and inspire me to be a better christian. And a set of friends who will help me have that GOLD MEDAL relationship not only with my bride and family, but with CHRIST as well.
So what am I saying you might ask??? Keep your head up and search for the LORD. He will take you to where you need to be. As for all the politics of the church do not concern yourself about them right now, just look for furthering your walk with the LORD. That is how I have fingerprints left in my life.

I see God's fingerprints in the people I work with who have disabilities. A fingerprint does not make a person, but it is a unique identification feature possessed by only that person. Persons with disabilities are not their disabilities even though they are often identified that way. That is just one aspect of who they are. They like to do this, eat that, sing to this song.
I praise God for teaching me through them that there is so much more to a person than their disabilities, abilities, mistakes, and triumphs. It's about seeing God through them.

jd,
i see you've shared more great insight here too.
God loves people. therefore we need to love people. where they are. where they're not.
this would indicate we know JESUS.
jd, i like the way you think. praise HIM that you have been able to intersect the lives of your coworkers.

Oprah loves people, too. She says there is more than one way to what you call God than Jesus. Does she know Jesus?

miguel said...

don't know about oprah.
i know about me. only me.
i have a relationship with JESUS. He is the only ONE i've placed my entire future in.

HE is the ONLY ONE who died in my place. ONLY ONE who could make it right between me and GOD.
i was a repeat offender, an enemy of GOD. JESUS wiped my slate clean with his SINLESS LIFE, DEATH AND RESURRECTION.
i've place my trust that he can deliver on his words found in
JOHN 14:6 " I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, no one comes to the FATHER, BUT BY ME"
so the evidence that i DO BELONG TO HIS KINGDOM IS THIS, THAT I WOULD LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

so as for oprah, that's for her and GOD. i can't speculate on her behalf. as for me, i choose to love people because my desire is for people to see the love of GOD, thru miguel. p.s. i'm miguel.

frodo here, i go9t to say loving people and doing good deeds wont get you to heaven. I think if Oprah knew God she would take all her money and give it away. Because she has a giving heart. but thatis just my opion. fingerprints are evidence that Christ is working in your life not just blessings but ways that He has changed you and the way you live. Maybe he taught you humilty. learning to be humble to someone you dont think deserves it. i had a coworker that just rubbed me wrong he did somehting to just tick me off. so i decided to teach him that he messed with the wrong guy. so i payed him back. thing is i played a practical joke on him. something i had done time and tmie again to other coworkers. but this time on the way home God convicted me of what i had done. therefore i had to publicaly apologise to this guy. A guy that i had eight years of senority on. thats a fingerprint when you can look a something in your life and know with out a doubt God is behind it.
